Heads and the new U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry early next week to the German capital Berlin on his first official visit to Germany since taking office.
According to information and the German news agency (d. B. A) of decision that Kerry will hold talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel and his German counterpart Guido Westerwelle on Monday and Tuesday.
And took over the Republican candidate for the U.S. presidential elections last his successor to Hillary Clinton earlier this month.
There was no U.S. embassy in Berlin until now an official confirmation of the visit.
It is expected that Kerry will visit other European capitals during that round.
